Jake's Fidget

A "fidget" is often a small, handheld toy/tool for dispelling anxious energy and boredom. 

Something about having a small, meditative instrument in hand to ground myself has always interested me. After setting out three years ago, I'm proud to say that I've finalized the design and make of my very own.  You can find it for sale on my Etsy shop, along with more information about it down below.

I started working on this fidget back in 2023. The general design came together surprisingly fast, but it took many iterations to get right. Small details like the material used, weight, length, and feel were meticulously assessed. 

The fidget is made entirely out of stainless steel, making it durable, hypoallergenic, and rust resistant. As shown in its photos, there are 24 beads held together by a chain and rings on both ends. This flexible design allows the beads to move independently and side-to-side as you play with them in your hands. 

Fidgets are often limited to 1-3 movements, whereas mine is quite versatile. Here are a few examples of the different ways you can use it:
